I'm using Word 2011 for Mac. How to add colored text boxes on word for mac. When I copy text from a Word document and paste it into another location, all formatting is lost.

Copy and Paste Not Exactly Working Not likely to have the same exact cause, but it's just an example of how pasting could and can be an issue for some. If you want more info, do a google on 'evernote mac paste'. When I copy and paste a cell in excell I only get the text or value copied but not the cell format, formula's etc. Paste special only let me paste the copied content as text or unicode text no other options.

It pastes as plain text. This happens even when copying/pasting within the same document. This just started happening yesterday.

I hadn't made any changes to Word settings. I tried restarting Word and that didn't fix it. I checked Word Preferences --> Edit --> Editing Options, and 'Keep track of formatting' is checked, and 'Use smart cut and paste' is checked. I hope somebody can help!!! This problem just cropped up yesterday. I'm doing heavy document editing for the coming week, and this is slowing me down a lot!!!

Hi, found this post because my clipboard stopped working in the last 2 weeks, so I checked the forum. Perhaps this info helps somebody. Host Ubuntu 12.04.4, Guest Win7. One VM has autoupdates turned off and still works regarding Clipboard (last update was end of march). Two others do autoupdate and both have issues with Clipboard.

I also installed MS 'XML Notepad' to these two VMs - uninstall did not fix. Uninstalling the updates did not fix it either. Currently I restore an older backup (60GB) of the vdi.

I can also confirm that images are not working. I tried to cut/copy from gimp and other image tools and paste into Outlook (example). Perhaps the native formats are different?
